Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is an Hollywood writer and actress that has won critical acclaim for her talent. Sagittarius. She was born in North Carolina, on 3rd December 1960. She's the eldest of three children, and was the daughter of Peter Moore Smith who was a paratrooper. Her mother Anne is a psychotherapist. She's English as well as Scottish. Due to her father's job the Moore family often relocated and she struggled to establish friendships, or to keep ones. When her family moved to Germany Moore went to Frankfurt American High School where she started appearing in performances. When she completed the requirements for her B.F.A. in Theater at Boston University in 1983, Moore continued her education. A thesis on Theater. Moore made the move in New York after graduating and started her professional career in off-broadway theatre. In 1985, she made her on-screen debut on The Edge of Night. She performed the double role as Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in As the World Turns that was her first major role. She starred on the show as the World Turns from 1986 until 1988. In recognition of her performance she won an Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she made her cinematic debut in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie which she later described as a terrible low-budget film. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. The first was critically-acclaimed and earned her a number of nominations for the film. Moore's first leading role was in Safe (1995). In 1997 the actress career took a turn after Steven Spielberg cast her to star in Jurassic Park: The Lost World that became the highest grossing film of 1997. She was awarded a SAG Awards nomination in Magnolia in 1999. The Hours, a 2002 film that she co-starred in alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. Moore has also starred in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. Non-Stop was her 2014 film. Moore has been featured in many films and TV shows. Most recently, she was in starring roles is In 2022, After You Finish Securing the World. The actress has established herself on the screen in Hollywood and also as a children's author. In 2007, she released Freckleface Strawberry, which became an NY Times bestseller. It was adapted as a TV series and musical. The author also released My Mom is Foreigner in 2013, a memoir in 2013. Moore is known as a renowned actor and a novelist. She was a bridesmaid to John Robin from 1984 until 1995. Bart Freundlich, whom Moore then married in 2003 is a father of two with Moore. Moore's main focus is her friends, family and career.
