Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Her debut came in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was a model when the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. She has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamour or nude work. The rule was extended to the acting profession. After catching the eye of the casting director for the upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast of A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody made an appearance on John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody was still only 18 years old at the time of her first appearance in the Bond role. To date, she is the youngest Bond girl. in 1987 Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version from The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. Doody's first leading role came in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking probably her most high-profile part in her career in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal she was later chosen to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody returned to acting in 2003 with a minor part as a character in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. She was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama on RTE. The Asphyx was the 2011 version of her film. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria tierra de cine award and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
